After some initial feedback on our combination cheese press/mold design, we made some structural changes so that now it’s better than ever.
How our Cheese Press has changed
The biggest change we made was to increase the size of the side support screws. These hold the bracing bar in place, and if the wingnuts are tightened down too much the side screws could sheer off. Bigger side screws meant bigger wingnuts. The holes in both the bracing bar and the flipping tray needed to be increased in size as well.

In addition to the size increase, we also made some changes “under the hood” so to speak. We changed some of the settings on our 3D-Printer so that our cheese presses now print with thicker walls and more internal structure. The result is a stronger, more sturdy cheese press!

Not only did we update our 3D-printed Cheese Presses, we also updated the STL file if you would like to print one yourself. Be sure to check out the description for our printer setting recommendations.
